Before you write
The FAQ covers what clipfarmer does with your data and your TikTok account, and the documentation covers installation and the commands. If the answer is there, it will be faster than waiting on a reply.
What to include in a bug report
- What you expected, and what happened instead. One sentence each.
- The stage it failed at — ingest, transcribe, rank, render, post. The pipeline view names the stage.
- The error text, in full. The app shows failures on the affected VOD rather than hiding them.
- The job id, if it is one job rather than all of them.
- Your Python version and OS, and whether
ffmpegis on yourPATH.
Please don't send access tokens, client secrets, or the contents of your .env.
Nothing in a support answer requires them.
Privacy and data requests
clipfarmer stores its data on your own machine, so most requests you can act on yourself immediately: deleting the local token file ends its access to your TikTok account, and deleting a job directory removes that job's video, transcript and renders. Revoking the connection from inside TikTok — Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions — invalidates the tokens straight away.
If you have a question that the above does not settle, email the address at the top of this page and it will be answered directly. The privacy policy sets out what is stored.
Reporting something posted from clipfarmer
If you believe a clip posted using clipfarmer infringes your rights or breaches TikTok's rules, report it in TikTok — that is the route that can act on the post itself, and it is the faster one. You are also welcome to email the address above.
